Asisat Lamina Oshoala MON is a Nigerian
professional footballer who plays for Spanish side
FC Barcelona Femeni and she is the current holder of
the African women’s player of the year award. .
A very quiet, unassuming and easy going young lady,
Asisat is living a lifelong dream of being one of the
best female footballers in the world as she still has a
lot to offer. She intends to fully utilize her potential as
the best female footballer to ever come out of Nigeria.
In her short career she has been earning plaudits and
has proven to be a force to reckon within women’s
football across the African continent and indeed one of
the best in her age category in International female
football.
Asisat found success as a forward for Nigeria’s
youth teams but made most of her early
appearances for the senior national team as an
attacking midfielder.
She was nicknamed “Seedorf” after the great Dutch
footballer Clarence Seedorf and has also been
referred to as “Superzee” by her teammates
